Speculative Fiction 2012 wins British Fantasy Society Award
Last year my essay, 'Remembering Margaret Cavendish', was published in Speculative Fiction 2012: The Best Online Revies, Essays, and Comentary. Spec Fic 2012 was nominated for a Hugo Award, which was pretty thrilling, but on Sunday, 7th September 2014, it won the British Fantasy Society Award for Best Non-Fiction. After existing in a string of places online for years, I decided I needed a base camp. This is your one stop shop to find all my stuff. My writing and reviews blog; my proofreading and copy-editing services; my Tumblr and YouTube presence; my artwork and crafting; my business email; and, coming at some point this year, my philosophical endeavours. Hopefully this will make my stuff easier to find and me easier to communicate with.
Polemic of the Moment

I call for an end to tempering demands for equality by what makes oppressors feel comfortable.

I propose a new outlook towards the endemic problems of privilege (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphodia, ableism etc.) in geek media.
Review of the Now

Utterly captivating, bitter-sweet, ultimately uplifting, and not at all sexist.

So much of our current media output fails to address the dire social consequences of the economic absurdities of our times. I suggest we turn to the films of the 1930s.
